E.E. Muir & Sons Pty Ltd is a private Australian
company, wholly-owned by the Muir family. The
company is a major distributor of chemicals,
fertilisers, seeds and other farm supplies to the
Australian agricultural industry.
It is the recognised leader in the company's home state
of Victoria and also has branches in NSW and South
Australia. The company is a prominent member of the
national group IHD, who account for 60% of the
Australian Horticultural market.
Established in 1927 to service the needs of Melbourne's
fruit and vegetable growers, it has continually
sought to offer better services and better products
to its customers.
When the company
founder, Eric Muir retired, his two sons Doug and
Max took over the business, Under their prudent
management the company flourished.

Ian Muir
Ric & Ian Muir are joint Managing Directors of the
company's operations. Ric joined the company in 1969
and is the sales director. Ian followed in 1976
after completing a Degree in Agricultural Science at
Melbourne University and is the company's technical
director. Both are joint Directors of Marketing.

Chairman - Max Muir
On Doug's retirement in
1976. Max, continued as Managing Director and
Chairman. Max resigned as Managing Director in 1990
and retired in 2001 but remains as Chairman of the
company.
In 1990 Max's two sons Ric and Ian became joint
Managing Directors of the company and under their
energetic management its growth continues throughout
Australia.
With the joining of Ric's sons Andrew and Stuart and
also Ian's son Cam. The company now into its 4th generation
will continue to grow under the Muir family name.
E.E. Muir & Sons are currently operating from 17
branches across 3 states in a range of horticultural
and diversified crops. Employing 100 staff with 50%
of employees, Agricultural Science Graduates.
E.E. Muir & Sons distribute products for the major
technical based supply company's, as well as
importing and marketing key agricultural products
via a key distribution network throughout Australia
and New Zealand.
